The top two are Chloe's. She made a starfish and a dolphin. Caibry made the Orca and the crab in the bottom row. They used watercolors to paint their masterpieces. These little works of art created a big splash with me and their Daddy. Aren't they great?

I am using Apologia's Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day to teach my children science this year. Along with the book activities and online extras I have asked them to create atcs and a sketch book of ocean animals. Here are some of the ocean atcs that my kiddos have created.

The Butterfly Project is a beautiful and powerful way of remembering each of the 1.5 million children killed in the holocaust. You can see a link to the project in my sidebar. My children and I recently made a set of butterflies that we intend to add to until the deadline in June, 2012. This is a very meaningful project that I am proud to have my children participate in. We plan to make a trip to Texas to see the exhibit live in 2013. I'll add to this post as our butterfly collection grows.
